Ouch.

Yesterday got off to quite the start.
Before I even got out of bed for the morning, I already needed stitches.

No joke.

My sweet, sweet little Jersey girl got a little too wiggly and up close in my face and literally snagged her tooth in my nostril.
And yes, I realize how ridiculous that sounds.
This is my life.
She did that once before when she was wiggling and in my face, but I just had a nose bleed that time.
This time,
{sorry for the graphics}
she actually tore my nostril from the bridge of my nose.
Pretty visual image, huh?

After that, I realized pretty quickly I couldn't just let it clot and go on with my morning or drive myself to Urgent Care.
So I called J, and had to keep him on the phone so I didn't pass out!
And then, much searching and failing to find insurance appropriate/helpful care ensued.
And maybe even a mini meltdown in the ER about being so tired and ready to just go to sleep and wake up a month from now. Melodramatic much?!
{Life's been heavy over here lately}
About 4.5 hours and several rejections from local plastic surgeons to help me out, I found myself in the best ER ever getting sewn up by the best doctor ever.
7 stitches and a pretty unsightly nose later,
I'm on the mend.
You should thank me for not posting pics.
Its pretty ugly.

This girl, on the other hand,
is just a cute and sweet as ever.
And all is completely forgiven!

I mean, look at those eyes.
If you don't think that face is adorable, you might not have a soul.

*****Edit:: Ok. I just had to share. So you all know that I'm not exaggerating. Not a bit. Close your eyes if you don't like stitches or big pores. I have both. :)

I was really looking forward to this post after I saw this happened on instagram (weird?). What a BUMMER! At least it isn't too hard to be quick to forgive with those eyes...I just read the story to Dave and we had a good laugh. I know you probably aren't at the laughing point yet, but when you are, know that we are laughing with you. :)

You handled that like a champ, Katie! Jersey girl, you're a lucky lady to have such a forgiving friend. And you're also lucky that you're so cute.

Oh, no! Something similar happened to my sister with our childhood pup. Everyone thought she was vicious when in all actuality she was just excited to play! Hopefully the healing continues and there are no more incidents:-)

When I saw this pic on Instagram, I was in shock. As I dog owner, I totally get how stuff like this happens. I hope your nose heals really well.
