Tomorrow, with a smile.

Notice anything new around here?
Thanks to Kristen, I have a new look!
{And just fyi, if you are looking for a super sweet, helpful and patient designer...she's your girl!}
But even more, I have a new name.

I've been wanting to revamp this little old blog for quite some time and put a lot of thought and prayer into the new name.
I wanted something that was meaningful and that represented what I want the focus to be about 'round these parts.

Well, the name comes from the ever-popular Proverbs 31 passage.
{cliche much?}
verse 25 to be exact.

"Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she shall rejoice in time to come."

I especially love how the MSG puts that last part {and I'm generally not a fan of the MSG...}

"... and she always faces tomorrow with a smile"

At first glance, it kind of seems like the verse is talking about a women who is just always happy.
I don't think that's it, though.
Its not about putting on a happy face.
I think its really talking about being joyful with hope and faith in Jesus, no matter what the future holds.
Having no fear, no worries, no thoughts of want.
And its the beginning of the verse that leads her to being able to smile at tomorrow.
She has clothed herself with strength and dignity!
Oh, those are strong words.

Let's be honest.
That verse does not describe me.
I am most definitely a work in progress.
But I want to work every day to trust in Jesus with everything I have and to smile because of the joy and hope I find in him.
I think that's a decent goal, right? :)

So, welcome to my new little blog.
Tomorrow, with a smile.
And really, could it come at a better time?
My heart needs all the joy and hope it can find these days.
And it seems like the more I ask for those, the more Jesus fills my heart to overflowing just when I though I'd be overcome by pain and loss.
So, here's to tomorrow! Let's face it with a smile, eh?

:)
