Bits & pieces.

Oh heyyyyy. Can we all just agree on the craziness of it already being December? Sheesh. While winter will always be my least favorite season and 4th of July my favorite holiday {not Christmas!}, I appreciate this time of year more and more as I get older. December in general feels like one big push- lots of gathering and eating and planning and celebrating. It's both really fun and totally exhausting. I'm feeling pretty scatterbrained today, so how about a bits & pieces post for today?

//I'm loving this Advent study. A few years ago I did my first Advent study and ever since I think it's just so important. Taking time to slow down each morning and refocus and truly set my heart on the real reason for Christmas is so necessary.

//Caleb will be 6 months old in a couple weeks and I'm so excited- mostly because it means I can finally drop him off at the KidZone at the gym! I can't wait!

//Ever since our Whole30 in September, Justin and I have been pretty focused on our eating and health. We're working on finding ways to make these weeks leading up to Christmas intentional- meal planning and being consistent in our workouts. {Justin's so much better than me, I hate living room workouts and can't wait to get back to the gym!}

//I went to see Mockingjay last week {it's become a book club tradition!}, but was pissssssed to find out we have to wait AN ENTIRE YEAR for the second movie. You guys. What is that about??

//My dog turns 6 this month {he don't know his exact birthday} and it's kind of blowing my mind. Mr. Stinky! How are you 6 already? Thank goodness he still has 20 long years ahead of him :)

//After 5 years of marriage, we bought our first artificial tree! Once our kids are old enough to enjoy it, we may go back to buying a real one each year. So simple, cheaper, and it reminds me of growing up and helping put up our family's artificial tree every year!

Can't believe your sweet little babe will be 6 months old already! He is such a cutie. And yes, our pups will live FOREVER!
