Thursdays with Caleb.{5}

  This kid gets more and more fun every day! He had a bit of a growth spurt this week, but for the most part we've transitioned to a 4 hour schedule and it's wonderful. He's still sleeping like a champ at night, and naps are great about 80% of the time. But you can't win 'em all, and I won't complain about my night sleeps!
  Yesterday I got together with two of my girlfriends and our babies and it was just too fun. Caleb stared at Sam while Owen kept trying to crawl towards Caleb and Sam just took it all in. They definitely don't play together, but we're so excited for the day when can. Until then, these dates are totally for us moms and talking about whether our babies are growing enough or sleeping enough and our favorite place to shop for baby boys. And to remind each other that we're all doing awesome. Being a parent isn't easy. And it seems like everyone is playing the comparison game when we all really just need to hear- you got this, girlfriend. That's probably my favorite part about having mama friends right now. Just cheering them on. They probably do some things differently than I do, but we're all just really loving our babies and figuring out this parenting thing day by day. {gets off soapbox}
  But yeah. This guy. We're smitten with him and loving how big he's getting. Twice this week strangers have asked how old he is and then were surprised when I said 3 months. I think he's probably still on the small side, but it's nice to know he's chunking up! I put him in his exersaucer for the first time last week and it is probably the cutest thing ever. He doesn't really fit and I have to stuff a blanket in the seat with him and pillow for him to stand on- but he sure loves it!
