30 weeks.

{Let's just pretend you're reading this last Friday, mmk? That's when I meant to post it!}   

This is just getting crazy. 30 weeks?! While it does sort of feel like I've been pregnant forever, it's still hard to believe this baby could be here as soon as 7 weeks from now. 7 weeks! While we didn't plan the timing of this pregnancy at all {that's what happens after trying for a year...}, it's kind of working out perfectly. Spring and summer are so full of fun things- showers, weddings, trips, cookouts, you name it. I really feel like life is full speed ahead from now until baby boy gets here. I love it!
   We have our baby shower this weekend and I am so excited, which is kind of rare for me. I usually dread these kinds of things and feel a bit awkward being the center of it and stressed about wanting everyone to have such a good time. But, this feels different. My heart really could burst just thinking of the people that will be there and how much love they have for this little guy. I agree with the saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and the loved ones at this shower are just a snapshot of the village that will be supporting this guy over his lifetime. Kind of amazing, right? Also, I'm selfishly excited to finally start baby shopping since I've kept myself on restriction until after the shower!
   We're this close to having the nursery 100% finished. {Did you see the big project I shared yesterday??} I returned the rug I bought and Urban Outfitters discontinued the color I really wanted to exchange it for- so we're back to square one on that. Tragic, I know {sarcasm}. And we're still deciding whether or not to pull the trigger on a nice chair, but that's it. So keep your eyes out for a full nursery tour soon.
