A gallery wall.

  {Sources: mosaic cross/me, wood grain frames//Ikea, Choose Joy print//here, gold frames//thrifted, all photos printed here}

 I've always struggled with a little bit of house envy. How does she keep her kitchen so clean? I wish our house came together so fast after we moved in! Oh my gosh, I need that sectional. Especially after we were first married, far from having disposable income to spend on things to make our house prettier. Over the last couple of years though, I've become more and more ok with taking things slow and not having our house be perfect right away. We've been here over two years, and really only have 2-3 rooms decorated and 'finished'. And that's ok. We've been able to use our money in different ways, by building a savings and going on a few trips and getting ready for a baby. The house will come together in its own time.
   Anyways, I'm not sure why I got off on that tangent. Except to preface our new gallery wall and the room it happens to be in. One of the selling points for our house was the bonus room. Over the last few months, I've been able to convince Justin to make it our main living space and where we watch tv. Not too long from now, I see it as a place where we have baby toys sprawled out and have family movie nights. I love, love, love it up there. And not because of how its decorated. But that's still important to me. I've been dreaming up ways to make it look a bit happier, even on a next-to-nothing budget. New furniture {a sectional!} would be fabulous, but mismatched hand-me-downs are just our phase of life right now. So they'll do. But a cheap rug, Ikea curtains, and a fresh coat of paint on an accent wall already have it feeling 'better' to me. And this weekend, I finally found the last piece to make the gallery wall I've had in my head, complete.
   And, I love it. I really love it! I tried to be intentional about each piece. I don't like 'throw away' art and once something is hung on my walls, that means I've put lots of thought into it and will be leaving it up for quite some time. I imagine it will grow and adapt as our family does. I love pictures and the stories they tell. Can you ever really have to many pictures on your shelves and walls?

Speaking to my HEART. I put so much pressure on myself to have the perfect living space. It takes time, I tell myself. Thanks for the inspiration. I've been desperately wanting to do a gallery wall. I love the simple beauty of yours. And that Choose Joy print--yes.

This looks so great! I love the K & J particularly! I'm sure when we buy a house we'll have like our room done and a guest bedroom and that's it. We don't love our living room/family room furniture, so I think that's the next to go. I'm (horribly) hoping that the movers ruin it so they have to give us money for it...I judge me too. And, seriously, every picture you've ever posted of that bonus room has screamed cozy family area to me!!
