Thoughts and pretty flowers.

I probably should stop rubbing it in, but I have today and tomorrow off from work. {Thank you, social work job with little pay but great benefits!} Pretty much all of my real life friends have full time jobs, but it seems like most {non-mom} bloggers don't work or at least not outside of their homes. I'm always kind of puzzled by this. Tell me I'm not alone...
Anyways, like I was saying. I have today and tomorrow off from work and I'm super jazzed about it. {I just said jazzed.} Justin's taking a personal day tomorrow and we have grand plans of hiking with the pups and making terribly butter-y, chees-y grilled cheeses on rye for supper. I've got high hopes of convincing him to let me pick out a movie, too. {He doesn't always appreciate my romantic comedy taste} We're wild, guys. So wild.

But today, it's just me. And since this is my blog and I do what I want, here are some jumbled thoughts this morning...

:: I picked up one of my favorite devotionals again, and have been reading about the widow at Zarephath this week. Um, who knew I could relate so much to a story about a widow?? Weird. But more on this later, I'm sure.

:: I've got a stack of books by my bed, so you can bet I'll spend a good chunk of time reading. Honestly, it's taking a lot of self control to do much else other than reading during my days off!

:: It's only a little ridiculous how excited I am for my brunch this weekend. Are you coming?

:: In less than a week, my dog has eaten a flip flop and pajamas. I want to be upset, but at least our couch in intact.

:: I. Am. So. Excited. for SYTYCD this year. Um, Fiction? I adore you. Tuesday nights are sure to be a summer highlight for me.

:: I've ordered a few gifts online lately, and thus rekindled my love for getting packages. I've caught myself checking our stoop every day this week, even though I'm not expecting anything else. I think I have a problem...

:: Why does Trader Joe's have to have the best flowers, most affordable flowers in the world? I can never resist.

And, because who can buy gorgeous flowers and not take pictures of them?

I'm glad you too think that nobody works! It's odd. And, yay for books and grilled cheese. Man, I love a good grilled cheese.

Purple, green, and yellow are some of my favorite colors! Beautiful flowers :) And that is puzzling about the not working. What do they do???
