family.

My family is on my mind today, for lots of reasons. I realized this morning that I never posted pictures from Thanksgiving. Then I look at them, and noticed just about all of them are of my sweet niece and nephew. I'm telling you, they steal the show!

Its also my BIL and mom's birthday today! December and January knocks out 7/10 birthdays on my side of the family...so there's lots of celebrating :)

The last, and not so exciting reason my family's on my mind today is because my mama found out yesterday that she has Stage II skin cancer. The doctor's are pretty optimistic that they've removed it all and caught it early enough. She'll have some more tests next week. I don't wish cancer on anyone, but especially my mom. With a thyroid problem and cancer that runs heavily in her family, its just extra sensitive...you know?
So if you wouldn't mind, would you pray? Just for peace and clarity and good news.

Ack! So scary.. makes me want to stay out of the sun even more! I have a high risk of it too.

I pray they really removed it all and everything will be ok!

your family is beautiful. Praying for your mama! This happened to my dad a few years ago, and the removal went great and it hasn't come back. If it is any consolation, I think that form of cancer is pretty common and easily combated. Praying!

I'm so sorry about your mom's skin cancer. I do hope that the doctors found it all--I work for the American Cancer Society so having to deal with cancer every day is so tough. I am praying for good news!!
