get real.

ok, ladies
{i'm 99.9% sure no guys read this. except for the hubster.}
i'm going to get real.
I am
out. of. shape.
big time!

I used to run like a mad woman.
I used to eat mad healthy.
I used to be significantly less flabby.

and then college ended, full-time job started, marriage happened, and my small town roads for running and free {awesome} college gym for working out disappeared.
{enter out-of-shapeness here}

blah. I'm so over it though! I got back into shape last summer since the weather was warmer and I could run outside again {with the Murphster to keep me company!}
I need to jump back on that bandwagon.

So, here's me being real. I'm going to start holding myself accountable on here. at the end of each post, I'll blurb about what I did {or did not do} in the exercise department.
This is hard for me, just so you know.
But I need to get my bootay in motion.
like yesterday.

and this isn't about a number on a scale, a size of jeans, or any of that. Its about getting back to running {which I do truly love} and taking care of myself. God gave me a body and I need to start glorifying him with it. {1 Cor. 6:19-20 anyone?!}

ready.set.keep me accountable!

My {mostly} healthy lunch today. Whole wheat pita with turkey & provolone & romaine, romaine with cranberries, bleu cheese, and pecans. And cheddar-'peno cheetos.
{don't mind the nappy desk at work. Non-profit agencies have to cut costs somewhere, right?}
anyone making some healthy goals these days?

Good for you! I just started working out again 2 weeks ago. I have no motivation on my own and thankfully have a friend to go with. Helps big time!

Looking forward to your updates. =)

I'm trying (and dying) to do the same! Confession: I've gained 7 lbs. since my wedding. 7! Yikes.

Anyways, you go girl. Let me know if you think of any healthy dinners to make that your husband will still consider "man food". That's my biggest problem!

That's my girl. :) I'm doing the same thing - 1 hr. on the elliptical each day plus pushups and sit ups. I'm all for the home grown gym.

You know, I have the small town roads and the awesome college gym - and I'm still not using them. I'm ridiculous! I need to do this too!

Ok I was totally feeling like this a couple months ago, except with spinning. I got my lazy body back to the gym and now I'm a certified spin instructor haha! But I'm so glad! It wasn't about my weight on the scale. I just didn't FEEL good. Mentally and physically. It's so worth it to get feeling good again!
Love your blog and I think you are gorgeous!

Yeah, right there with you. My clothes all seem to have shrunk, ahem. I could use some accountability as well!

Good luck with your goal! I hope you find something fun to do fitness wise! The older I got the less I could force myself to run. I'd make excuses about why I couldn't. Then I found yoga/pilates and now I'm in love! Last summer I logged my weekly exercise on a sidebar on my blog and it totally held me accountable (even though no one else probably looked at it, haha).
