Birthday wish-list.

Somehow it's already August, which happens to be the month I turn 28. Stop. I know. How am I only two years away from thirty but still feel like I'm 18?! Like, I somehow have everyone fooled into believing I'm an adult when really I'm still just a kid. Weird. Will I ever actually feel {or look} my age?? Gosh, I hope not.
I think I'm to the point in life where I absolutely don't need a birthday party or birthday gifts. A big hug, phone call to catch up, or sharing a bottle of wine are pretty much the best gifts these days. But people still love to buy gifts, right? I know I do! Anywho. One of my favorite things my family does is make birthday and Christmas lists to help each other out. I have painfully simple taste in most things and I'm not a fan of chotchkies and knick knacks- which are the most commonly purchased gifts, amen? So, unless you really really know me, I can be hard to buy for {unless you don't know those things about me, in which case I will just smile and tell you how much I love your gift!}. Enter our family lists. I love knowing what my family wants for Christmas, or having a really good idea of how to love on them through gift giving, you know?
My problem is that I usually think "Oh! I'd love to have that!" at any given time, but then immediately blank when my mom asks for my Christmas or birthday list. Enter Pinterest. I just keep a running wishlist now. So when I find a little extra $$ in my paypal or have a giftcard burning a hole in my pocket, I remember some of the things I've been eyeing and can snag it for myself. Anyone else do this?
Here are some things on my list this year::

1// I've been eyeing this fitness tracker for a long time. It's kind of pricey, but something I may end up buying myself. Especially post baby, I really want to build back my endurance and track my workouts.
2// It's no secret that I love Noonday and I just can get enough of their fun necklaces.
3// I've had my camera for 3 years now, but am still using the kit lens. I would really love {and definitely use} a new lens, and maybe even a tripod? I take so many photos of Caleb, so now seems like the perfect time to up my photo-taking game.
4// Hellooooo, scarf season! How cute is this guy?
5// It's been years since I've bought new sandals and I kind of just live in the $1-sale Old Navy flip flops. Girlfriend needs an upgrade.
6// Snail mail is my jam. I try to send out a handful of notes each month to friends and I am always on the hunt for really cute stationary!
7// This one is two-fold. First, I HATE writing out our ridiculously long return address on mail and I go through so many address labels. How perfect is a stamp?! Second, Caitlin is one of my favorites {oh hay gurl!} and she actually makes and sells these!
8// Candles. Candles. Candles. I'm obsessed with candles, but definitely have my favorites! Here are my top 3:: volcano, leaves, farmer's market

Ok, so what are you getting me for my birthday? Ha. Just kidding! But seriously, what are some things on your wishlist? Anything I need to add to mine?

I am obsessed with my Polar ft4! Buy it from Amazon and you'll save almost $40 (retails for $100 at sports stores and $60ish on Amazon) Let me know if you have other questions :)

I have the same feeling about gift giving and receiving, so I have an on-going list. I also ask people what they want because I would rather get them something they love instead of me guessing and getting them something they dislike (or I just won't buy them anything out of fear they will hate it). I recently added to my list a subscription to HGTV magazine :)
