Cruisin'

The week after Thanksgiving,
I went on a cruise.
But let's get one thing straight, people.
It was not a vacation.
Oh sure, there were fruity drinks with umbrellas.
And chocolates on my pillow every night.
And fancy dinners.
But it was not a vacation.

I can see how you might be confused.
You see, my sister {the wedding planner} needed a trusty assistant to help out with a destination wedding. And taking a week off right before finals was a bit much to ask her intern.
So being the effing awesome little sister I am
{right, Lori?! ;)} I agreed to go.
And really,
it wasn't that bad.
Just kidding! It was fun! A lot of work, but super fun to hang out with my big sis for a week.
{We missed you, Car!}

The bride {and her 90+ guests!} is Indian, while her husband is Caucasian. Which resulted in 5 traditional events during the cruise.
{the entire wedding party. Over 90 people!}

{read: an event every.single.day}
It was so out of ordinary for me, so I had tons of fun learning about Hindu tradition and just watching.
People watching is basically my greatest talent.
Seriously.

The family was so nice. So nice. And after 6 days of working with them for hours each day at every event, we got to know them pretty well.
It was a long but fun trip,
and after all of it I remembered why I'm in the business of social work and not wedding planning.
Its so not my thing.

And now...picture overload.
{unedited pictures. Its Christmas break. I'm lazy.}

Happy Friday friends!!!
