friday housekeeping. *edit*

Sorry if my blogging has been so lame this week.
Its that time in the semester when my life is kind of dominated by papers, group projects, and piles on piles of reading to do.
mmm...grad school. you're so good to me!

So I'm just doing a little end of the week housekeeping over here at J&K today...a lot of little random things.

***Remember when I asked you to join me in praying for my friend Jen? Today I'm praising Jesus for the amazing ways He's revealed himself as Healer to her! Read about it here

I stumbled on Lindsay's blog last week, and am in love. She's having tons of amazing giveaway right now, so you should totally get your booty over there and check it out!

I whipped these up last night...to.die.for. {and totally in sync with my healthiness! NOT! but that's ok, exercise is my goal. I have a pretty balanced diet.}

I am SO excited for the Final Four games this weekend. I'm not much of a sports fanatic, but since I went to Butler for a bit before transferring and live in Indy...I'm rootin' for the Dawgs all the way! :)

Totally still working on the 50 followers giveaway. Keep a lookout next week sometime!

We finally got around to making one of our fav suppers this week...poppy seed chicken! So here's the recipe for you to enjoy this weekend! {seriously, go make this. Its awesome!}

Poppy Seed Chicken

Bake/boil/whatever 3-5 chicken breats {just depends on how many we have on hand!}. Cut into bite size pieces. Place in 9x13 baking dish. Blend 1c broth, 1c light sour cream, and 1 can cream of mushroom. Pour over chicken. Crunch 1 stack of Ritz crackers {nomnomnom} over mixture. Pour 1/2c melted butter over crackers, top with desired amount of poppy seeds {we go crazy here. we love poppy.} Bake for 30 minutes. Serve over rice or pasta of choice {like J does}, or be weird {like me} and eat it by its lonesome.
Yumo!

Happy weekend blog world!

get real: walked 20 min. w/dogs. Thurs...had plans to run...dog vom/diarhea clean-up foiled plans. Walked 30 mins. so far Friday...walked 30 min! plans to walk/run later!
