{photo} Challenge: week 3 & 4

The three of you that have been following the challenge probably noticed I didn't post last week! Sorry :)

Life was really busy and I wanted to save some of the categories for over the weekend.

So today I'm posting both weeks' worth!

{photo} challenge: week 2

I was pretty excited for this week's photos light, movement, joy. I had every intention of getting some good shots at the BMW PGA tournament, but cameras weren't allowed. Womp womp. That kind of killed my excitement to look up some tutorials on getting good action shots...but I'm still happy with what I got this week. 

Can't wait to see what everyone else came up with! :)

I've decided to leave the link-ups up until the month is over...so there's plenty of time to add ones you missed! Aaaand I'm thinking of doing some sort of giveaway at the end. Maybe a camera strap cover? I'm on a roll with those. 

{photo} week 1.

I'm so excited about this challenge! But I'll admit, it was more difficult than I thought it'd be. Especially the 'me' picture. 

I did a bit of research and have decided to really focus on learning more about my camera through this challenge. I'm finally getting the hang of aperture and ISO. I'm also trying to keep the editing to a minimum. Of these, the only edited one is the b&w. And all I did was simply change it to a basic b&w!

Next week, I want to be a bit more creative with my shots.

1. I tried some cutesy self-portratis, but hated them. So I decided to put on my hoodie and shorts and get back to my work. Then I realized...that's the best picture of me. Always on the couch and always drinking my h2o.

2. I'm so glad its September now! 

3. I just love my sparkly pumpkins! Getting a detail shot of those glitter specs was harder than it looks...

I can't wait to see everyone else's...even if just two or three of you link up!

Without even realizing it, September is already shaping up to be a really full and fun month! Between weddings and college football games, our weekends are already booked up...and I'm so excited.
Even my little blog has got a full schedule for September!

Second thing, September has unofficially become a No Spend month in our house. We did it last year, after a summer of spending and starting a Fall that required saving $$ for buying our house. This year, we've got a vacation coming up and a lot of little things we want to take care of before my student loan repayments start in November. So we decided to do it again! Last year, we simply tried not to spend. This year, I want to be a bit more planned about it all {sorry, J! I know you hate my planning...}. So look for weekly posts about No Spend September! I'm trying to round up a few guest posters, if you're interested or have good tips...let me know!

September {photo} challenge.

After the response to yesterday's post, I decided to go for the photo challenge! And after talking a bit with the oh so wise Emily, I decided to make it very different than the challenges you see on Instagram and very easy to commit to! Good news, right? :)
Now for the fun details:: The weekly challenge will start in September and I will host a link-up party each Thursday. For each week, there are three 'categories' of pictures. You can take on all three, just one, or all three-in-one...whatever works for you! Just have that week's photo{s} ready to post on Thursday and then come here and link up! And of course, check out everyone else's photos!  Here are the categories...

Guys. I'm excited! I can't wait for this excuse to get snapping again :)

Challenge?

So here's the thing. I've had my sweet cami for exactly a year now.

And I've gotten a little lazy with her.

And I'm looking for a challenge, but need some accountability or people to do it with.

Sooo...what would you guys think about a photo challenge for September?

Kind of like the ones you see on instagram, but with your real camera.

And instead of posting on instagram, you would take one themed photo a week and come and link up here.
